Getting a piece of mail that is not your bill our junk mail is beautiful. It just doesn’t get any better than that. You can keep it forever something that is handwritten. It took them time and effort to take a pen to paper, write it down and put your address on there and get it in the mail. And you get to receive it not even knowing you’re going to receive it and you get to open it and read it and realize – “Oh wow, this person just spent a couple minutes, a half hour, an hour to write me a letter out of their time to make me something.” And it’s just beautiful especially when your loved ones, friends and family to be able to experience that is priceless. We don’t get that through a text message, through Facebook, and through all these social media things we delve into. Even a phone call isn’t the same. You don’t get to hold onto a phone call, but you get to hold onto a letter. You can hold onto things that are more physical. It’s like your intention is set into a piece of paper. That’s why I have written my grandma for 10 years without talking to her on the phone. We just wrote each other and I have them forever. So if something happens to her I have her letters. Even friends too…it’s really beautiful. If I’m having a bad day I can go to those letters anytime and there it is. It’s something personable.
