These quotes came up as part of the online search. I thought they were quite inspirational and worth a share. So I made a little write up for each quote.

‘Comparison is the thief of joy’

If you are happy with what you have, then you will be at peace at all times. Know that you are special and are blessed with unique gifts that set you apart from everybody else. The moment you start making comparisons, there is a feeling of discontentment and dissatisfactions. Most people don’t understand they are seeing only half the picture. If you look more closely at people’s lives, they have their own set of difficulties and challenges which you wouldn’t like to bear. So its best not to compare yourself with others and wish you had what they have.

‘Believe you can and you’re half way there’

This is such an amazing thought. If you doubt your own capacity and capability to do something, how will you ever be the guiding light for others? Develop the inner strength to believe in yourself and have faith in your abilities and that will act as a foundation of personal growth. Life is a blessing so make the purpose of your life strong enough by realizing your dreams. And you can realize your dreams, only if you pursue it with self belief and passion.

‘In a moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing to do, the next best thing is the wrong thing and the worst thing you can do is nothing’

Decisions are a part of life. If you make haste, you might make a wrong decision. But if you delay, it’s equally disastrous. By making a timely decision, it shows that you are cutting your losses and being proactive. If you do nothing, you might have to pay a heavier price later. So, why not take a risk, make a decision and learn from your mistakes if you make any. At least its better than not doing anything.

‘Complaining about a problem without proposing a solution is called whining’

Problems don’t get solved by themselves. They just grow bigger and bigger and one fine day completely out of control. The best way to deal with the problem is in a logical scientific way, just like you would solve a puzzle or a math sum. Take a pen, if it helps and start writing all the solutions you can ever think of. Work on it, don’t give up. And once you have a list, you can add or strike solutions one after another by analyzing. Isn’t it better to find a solution rather than complaining?
