As the saying goes, Women hold half the sky
The fact that we are here means a woman has let us by
Their acts of life giving and heroism society seldom sees
But they are all here present as the presence of the trees
Life givers and life bearers are women are
They will nurture and nourish our lives every minute every hour
When all is said and done nobody thanks their joyful deeds
Just as we do not thank the wind, the sun, the air, the seeds
Women are a joy and a celebration
For their beauty and their power and their endless passion
Their strength is gentle, resilient, and pure
Their enchantment no man could ever endure
