In my life there are faces that i cannot forget
Who touched my heart, kindred souls i have met
They shaped me and made lasting impressions on my soul
In pain and hurt and burden they have made me whole.
They are an inextricable part of me i know,
But they are not mine to possess as the winds forever blow
They only remain as memories for me to eternally cherish
Then they are gone without a trace and blemish.
So in the end i travel all alone in this adventure,
Solitary, silent and full of longing without measure,
Yet I tread this path with all its challenges i take,
Because of you who made me strong, my life i can only make.
