The earth is a beautiful place. From the earth’s surface, it looks like a giant blue and green ball with small flecks of white clouds drifting across its surface. This view from earth’s orbit was captured by Apollo 8 astronaut William Anders in 1968. The earth has been called many things: our home, mother earth, Gaia – named after the Greek goddess of the earth and fertility
– but to most people living on Earth today, she is simply “earth.”
Earth is threatened by human activity that increases greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere which leads to global warming and climate change. There are many ways that we can help protect this amazing planet for future generations!
we need to be more serious about many things, including climate change. the use of fuel and other effects of human activities.
