When did we stop having fun?
Our life is meant to be LIVED, not to hustle and grind until we die. I have a secret….shhhh…no one gets out of this shit alive lol
I’m not saying life is not full of challenges, God knows I have had my share of plenty of those! But those challenges are not meant for you to take life so seriously, to get stuck in the story, they are there to open you, to allow you to surrender to this beautiful dance called life. Full of everything and it is not all love and light. And I think that is part of the problem because we think it should be. That’s bullshit. It’s full of light and dark, good and bad, love and grief, laughter and sadness, life and death….literally everything. And we signed up for this. You did, whether you realize it or not, your soul did. You wanted to experience the juicy realness of ALL things, all experiences, not just the rainbows and unicorns. Where would be the contrast to appreciate the “good” if we couldn’t compare it to the “bad”? It’s the polarity of all this IS.
We think we need to fight to stay away from or “heal” from the “negative” feelings because it “means something bad”. Do you know what it means?….Truly….it means you are a fucking human, that’s it and you are here in earth school trying to do the best you can like everyone else. When we reject certain parts of our experience we inhibit our ability to feel ALL of life.
This is also a reminder I give myself often….enjoy this life, have some fucking fun, don’t be so serious, enjoy it, especially during the challenging times, don’t take yourself so seriously, count your blessings, appreciate the good times, grieve your losses, look at the sunset and the stars, smell the fresh air, spend time with people you love, eat the ice cream, skinny dip in the lake, take the day off, get in nature, love with all your heart, speak your truth, be kind to your fellow humans and all creatures, be kind to yourself, don’t work too much, go on vacation, take a nap, laugh, cry and know that you, this life and your experience is a sacred gift. xo
