Was there ever a point in your life where you feel a deep churning? As if there has been a big mistake? or as if there is something wonderful you might have missed? Sometimes it takes the form of an unspeakable emptiness that drives us beyond ourselves…sometimes its an unstoppable melancholy, a undefined longing, a sadness so great it seems to come from the depths of the universe? I do. If you feel that way too, then we are in for the ride of our life. Some say this is the existential angst, a dreariness that mixes with boundless joy that life is so beautiful yet death is the fate of all of us–without any consolation. Some say this is the voice of the divine mind working in all of us so that we are called to participate in the creation of a new world. Some say this is an inner boiling of contradictions of modern man, where one wallows in external affluence yet sinks in internal loneliness. Some say it is an inner revolution so that we need to transform ourselves and the world. Whatever it is, i would like to see it as a creative crisis, elemental creative force in all of us…that playful spiritual being that pushes us forever onwards to our dreams..
