In the safe and secure world that we have made of ourselves, most things that happen to us are expected. To expect the unexpected seems a far out idea. Yet if we come to think really hard, from a larger perspective, life does not turn out to be what we expected. Truth always prove stranger than fiction. Life is larger than our little worlds. Reality is greater than our greatest interpretations. Death may come anytime. We cannot assure 100% that we have tomorrow. We are not even 100% sure if there is a heaven or there is a hell. We don’t really know what happens after we die. There is really no assurance in this world. If we take all these things to heart, then we will realize the value of the cliché, “Expect the Unexpected.” Doing so, we will always be on tip top condition. We will live in full awareness of the moment celebrating the tiniest trickle of life with all its wonders and dangers, risks and promises. We will not take things for granted. We will be ready and courageous enough to leave of safe and secure little worlds and venture into a bright new world full of perils, adventures and surprises. We will begin to truly live.
