Dedicated with my heart,
to the human beings of Afganistan.
The Loss of Self. The Loss of Freedom.
"It's a day like another..."
at least, that's what I thought.
Somewhere else in the world didn't agree,
as their worst nightmare came back to rule their lives.
I stood like the room around me had just frozen up.
Social media flooding with news
and had my eyes caught up.
I stood and thought,
maybe this time I can just close my eyes
and act like the rest of the world.
Another country under attack,
and unfortunately,
I can't even feel a little surprised anymore.
Because, look around,
but look carefully.
Can you see pain? The pain of the chaos around the world?
I am trying to understand every how, why, but, if, maybe and what out of this.
But the answer is simple when you watch human beings holding on to airplane wings
to flee desperately away from their own country.
And even easier when in the whole country there is only one female graffiti artist.
Because no matter the country,
gender shouldn't be affecting your survival statics up to the country you live in.
Because no matter the country you should be able to agree or disagree.
Because we call them "Human rights"
for the only reason that they should be equally used
by any human being.
Afganistan is in big need right now, so if you feel interested in supporting a good cause to help many innocents living in a nightmare escape to a safe location here is the link to support: https://actions.sumofus.org/a/help-desperate-families-escape-the-taliban?akid=93560.13890861.rMpaQn&amount=1¤cy=EUR&rd=1&recurring_default=&source=fwd&t=10&weekly=false
Peace and Love.
Namaste.
