I love make up.  I know many people think that it's artificial; I guess with some people that may be true.  I am always wanting to learn more about myself and others to grow and learn.  I know that life is only over when you say it's over.  I am into self-awareness really much.

But off of the rabbit I am chasing.  I would love to hear from any woman what you do with your make up ~ how you store it/organize it, what colors you wear, how often you wear it, what places you wear you to, usually.  And men, I know there are men out there that wear it their self, at least, you know a woman who wears make up - your girlfriend maybe, a sister, aunt, whomever.  I have an aunt that use to wear tons of makeup and color her hair, often, to keep any gray out of it.  So, men, woman, Martians, or venetians (Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus), I want to hear from you about the make up you use or seen someone use.  Plus, any tips that you have about moisturizers, bronzers, primers, or lip glosses, I want to hear from you.

Welcome to the site!

I wouldn't know how to put make-up onto my face if my life depended on it! I'm an old hippy gal who started off with that long hair - clean face look and never varied anything along the way. Well... There was a period of time that I wouldn't leave home without my pretty little love flower pained onto a cheek, but that wasn't in this century.

Do you have any make-up ideas that I can get (or make) for some of my friends for Christmas? Nothing can contain any animal products, or harm the environment in any way while they are being manufactured. The gals that I'm thinking of are vegans.

Happy Thoughts to You CountryGal 🙂

Some vegan make up options:

Beauty Without Cruelty - I don't use it because it's too expensive, but this is probably the most regarded vegan line

Eco Bella - Some products slightly cheaper than BWC, but can still be cost-prohibitive

No Miss - nail polishes, eye shadows and such

Physician's Formula Organic Wear - not a vegan company, but this is a vegan, eco-friendly product line. note - the brushes ARE NOT vegan. This one is way more affordable.

Anything from Vegan Essentials - veganessentials.com

Anything from Cosmo's Vegan Shoppe - cosmosveganshoppe.com

Yves Rocher - and you get free gifts with every order -- I have an email into them asking if all of their products are vegan - everything is plant-based, but they don't have ingredient lists online so I've been asking about individual products thus far.

I highly recommend looking on Etsy - it's an online market place for handmade goods- there are tons of vegan things for sale there and you get to support artisans at the same time

Kiss My Face, Merry Hempsters and Crazy Rumors all make good vegan lip balms -- vegan lip balm is also really easy to make yourself though

Urban Decay - touted as a cruelty free company, but I remember reading somewhere that some of their products have carmine - so I'm not sure on this one
