I thought it might be time to update my situation for those who are interested.  It now appears my exposure to formaldehyde and other nasty odors that were emitted from the processed wood that was in my bedroom closet resulted in significant damage to my sense of smell (strange as that may sound).  I still cannot wear clothing, unless it is brand new, without getting violently ill.  My doctor has scheduled a CAT-scan for me to find out what damage may have been done to my sinuses.  My question to this group is:  has anyone ever heard of exposure to chemicals such as formaldehyde, hydrogen cyanide, aldehydes, organic acids and polynuclear aromatic compounds causing damage a person's sinuses or olfactory senses?  Based on the data sheet from the manufacturer, all of these terrible chemicals are in the shelving that I was exposed to for several months.  (Yet the retailer gives consumers no warning whatsoever.)  I would appreciate any feedback as this has become a very troubling health concern.

Well, the earth needs the same attention and body, and we have to avoid the chemicals because the effects are irreversible. Thanks!
