Take a moment and think about how you are going to live this year, this month, at least this day.
I love 'box theory' it has been a personal favorite of mine since even before college when I first heard it called box theory. There are countless options of how to look at this year, at any moment, yet then tend to fall into a couple categories.
We can focus on 'not being the past'. Work to make choices that we believe would make this year better while really having our mind still in reverse. While it may not be perfect for me the fact is there is truth in the concept that what we focus on is what we attract...positive or negative. Conversely if last year was especially we good we could also be working to make it the same this year. We can accept that it is this year but still define the world around us with the standards, judgements, and sentiments of the previous. While you look at the opporunities and situations as being new you still find yourself making the decisions the same way you did in the past. We can think about the future and be working hard to make what we believe will be happening then happen now. We are not just grateful or using the law of attraction but using it to where we are acting so much as we would then that we still are misisng out on the present and may in fact even be pushing the opportunities we look to see in those years away from happening.
Or... we can become mindful of our environment that is with us in this moment, we can see that each moment is new, that it is its own world. It is a world where we may implement ideas of the past but more so create new ideas for that moment, we define things as they are in this moment, we see the possibilies that will come from this but still focus on what is happening now. We are now outside of the box, knowing that we were in one, seeing that we may be in another one but rather than living to be out of the larger or back in the smaller we are exploring the NOW!!
*smiles* Let this weekend be the best ever for you, let this moment come alive, get outside, look around inside, call a friend, play a game, spend some moments in meditation of the now... whatever you do enjoy it and live in the moment!
~Namaste
