“ The Legend of Banana Foot ”

Hmmm...Let me just share a reoccurring dream that I have been having over time for the past few years. I really don’t know what it means and quite frankly, I just think my imagination is telling me that perhaps it’s about time to create a new type of super hero.

I guess all of us have had a spooky dream running from monsters. But I’m not afraid of your typical vampire or werewolf. I don’t like zombies. These feelings have been amplified over the releases of a few movies like; Night of the living dead (the old version) 28 Days & 28 Days Later, I Am Legend.

My first dream started as when I was 22 and I watched Night of the Living Dead with some college friends. In my dream I was awakened to the sound of trash cans being knocked over outside of my house. I looked down at my wolf whom slept besides my bed and he was just napping away like he didn’t hear anything at all. I tried it wake him up to go with me, but my lazy doggy was just too tired and started moaning over me bothering him. Go figure, Lazy dog doesn't do anything but bark & poop. So I grabbed a flashlight, which just so happened to be in the bed with me and went outside to investigate.

There was a slight cold breeze in the air and the wind caught the door and it slammed behind me. I walked to the side of my house and noticed all of the trash cans were on there sides and the trash was sprawled out all over the driveway. Hmmm..that’s odd, The wind didn't seem that strong tonight. So I picked up all of the trash and put it back where it belongs and put two heavy bricks on top of the trash can lids. As I proceeded to head back to my front door, my eye’s caught the view of my street. All of the neighbors trash cans were all knocked over and bags and trash had taken flight as ghosts in the wind.  What a sight to see. But it was too late to do anything about it. I went back inside and crawled back into bed after shaking my doggy violently to wake him up from his slumber. If I have to wake up and go back to sleep, So does he

I was awakened once again by the sound of trash cans being knocked over outside of my house and this time my doggy was growling at the door and looking back at me. So I grabbed my gun and flashlight and walked back outside to see what or whom was out there.
When I got to my front door I saw a shadow walk by my porch and a aimed my weapon as my doggy growled. I peered out through the doors window and saw nothing, so I quietly opened the door and made my dog wait behind me.  I jumped out of the door with weapon and flashlight pointed.
Whew...There was no one there at all.
As I walked to the side of my house, my front door once again slammed shut behind of me trapping my doggy inside. No worries, I had another form of home defense with me.

After reaching the side of my house I saw a shadowed silhouette bent over, rummaging through my trash. I called out to him and all of a sudden he stopped and stood up. He stood about 8 feet tall and he slowly turned around. I pointed the flashlight in his face and all I saw was teeth and fangs dripping with blood.

That was enough for me, I fired 3 rounds at him and bullets penetrated his body and he didn't flinch at all. My wolf jumped through the front door window and charged towards the man. He lunged his body down and opened his mouth about 1 foot wide. He was attempting to eat my dog and I wasn't about to lose my puppy. So I fired 3 more rounds into his face and he dropped onto his back before my doggy got anywhere near him.

I walked up to him carefully and shined the flashlight in his face and noticed that he had no nose, Just fanged teeth in an exaggerated mouth. His eyes were open and dark black. My eye’s couldn’t believe what they were seeing. In front of me laid a large body of a human-like creature with clawed fingers and no nose; dead with half of his skull splattered across my driveway. My doggy started to bark at the corpse and he woke me up from my dream into real life.

To be continued...
