Dietary Considerations For Cancer Question

Question:
I have been wanting to write to you about my father’s condition because I’d like to help him with his treatment. He was diagnosed to have GE cancer stage 3 plus it complicates because he developed DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) along the way. Because the tumor is in the GE junction, he has difficulty eating and swallowing.

He is on home treatment now while waiting for his chemo therapy to start. But he is also given anti-coagulant for DVT that makes it difficult for surgeons to remove the tumor.

I really want to help him by using alternative medicine and maybe come up with a special diet for him but I don’t know how and where to start.

That is why I am writing to you as you might have some suggestions. I believe his diet has to be prepared well so as not to counteract the effect of the anti-coagulant.

I know he will also suffer when his chemo therapy would resume - is there a way to make it easier for him through other forms for healing?

I am really very eager to learn about how to help my father and I would greatly appreciate your suggestions.

I have sent HeartSmart a message about this as well. Perhaps you can also refer me to someone who can also share some points or two as I know this is a wellness community who helps people live better lives.

Thank you very much and more power to you my friend.

Hello my friend,

Cancer thrives in an acidic environment so a healthy alkaline diet is advisable. Most raw fruit and vegetables contribute to an alkaline ash within the body. Whereas cooked meats and highly processed foods promote an acid ash. The following link should be helpful:

And my father, an innovative physician recommended the following taken from his book Neogenesis:

“Lignan precursors for cancer

These plant chemicals found especially in whole grains are converted by friendly flora in your intestines into mammalian lignans which are known to contribute to less risk for cancer and heart disease. The best source, by far, is flax seeds (not oil). Thirty grams daily of ground flaxseed has been shown to significantly slow the progression of already existing prostate cancer. There is evidence for a similar benefit for breast cancer. I would currently advise any one with almost any cancer to include this in their nutraceutical treatment regimen.

Use a cheap coffee grinder to grind 2 tablespoons--roughly 30 grams, of the flax seeds freshly before adding to cooked ancient grain porridge, tossed salad, or soup, to maximize bioavailability and minimize digestive stress. These chemicals are also considered prebiotics, as they feed the good germs that live in a symbiotic relationship in your gut.”

Additional considerations:

Implementing the concepts of his book Neogenesis (free for all members in the E-book section).

Developing a healthy relationship with a physician who specializes in cutting edge cancer therapies including chemotherapy etc.

Bliss, blessings, love and light!

Your friend,
