Question
I was wondering if you could give me some info....My grandmother about 4-5 weeks ago was told she has COPD, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and 20 years ago she had Histoplasmosis. The doctors are telling us the Rheumatoid is in the lungs. She only has 40% oxygen, if she is active she gets very week and can't breath. By active I mean going to the bathroom, walking to the kitchen...it has now gotten to the point that when she talks she has trouble breathing. She has been coughing up some stuff, just not sure what it is, the lung doctor said it might be infection and gave her an antibiotic to take. The Rheumatoid doctor said he couldn't do anything for her if he tried to do a bioposy it would kill her. I'm not sure if you could give any info that might help or not but I would appreciate it if you have something for me. I feel like I'm grasping at straws everywhere I turn.... Thank you
Supplemental oxygen may improve her mobility and function, but I do not wish to second guess her doctors. Make sure she avoids smoking as well as second hand smoke.
Additional considerations:
Do not use pesticides in the house. Choose natural alternatives.
Limit her exposure to all chemicals including perfumes etc.
Get a chlorine filter for her tub or shower.
