Question
Hi Steven, thanks for the welcome to the site. You added me to your page awhile back, and lo and behold while researching energy healing for my husband today online, I found this site and recognized your picture. I feel that it was meant to be for some reason for you to have added me to your friend list so that I would recognize your face today, so there must some help for me here on your site to be able to help my husband. At age 33 he has always been a healthy person until now, we are devastated to find him diagnosed with Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma Stage III-IV. I like you was raised by a fear driven religion and have opened my mind and do not agree with my upbringing anymore, the last few years I have learned more about spirituality and stayed clear of the "religious" drama. So that is why I have been lead to learn more about the energy healing for him. The doctors here in Bristol, TN have referred him Vanderbilt UNV in Nashville, TN, about 5 hrs from here. They could not get him in until 10/8. His state has worsened to the point now that we don't even know if he can make the 5 hr trip there in another week, and we do not understand why it is taking so long to get him in there. I know everything is for a reason, just don't know what right now. We don't have a lot of money now that he is not working, his sick pay isn't much and his STD/LTD hasn't kicked in yet, takes 3 months once he is out to kick in, 1.5 more months. I did find a Reiki energy healer in Greeneville, TN (2 hrs away) and took him to see him yesterday. I am not sure if/when we should see some benefits from the visit, he wants to see us again this next week. He gave us a discounted rate for the 4 hr session of $80. Our family and community are helping us financially right now and the sad thing is, they are so closed minded that I could never tell them that I am using money they are giving us to take Mike to a "alternative healer", sad huh? Do you have any suggestions for advice you can give me to help him at this point? How often would you suggest sessions? I know this is in God's hands but can you tell me how much of a difference these sessions can make if the disease is progressed and aggressive as they say? I would greatly appreciate it.
Hello My Friend,
It sounds as if you are taking healthy steps toward helping your husband’s immune system. Healthy touch from Reiki, massage, etc. help circulate healing energies within the body.
The following quote regarding Reiki is taken from my fathers book Neogenesis - Reconstructing The Self. He is an innovative M.D. and appreciates healing modalities that enhance the body's immune system.
“Although subtle energies are not measurable in terms of waveform characteristics, their impact can clearly be seen. Family Practice News 6/11/07 reported that patients with diabetic neuropathy improve more with Reiki than with ‘usual care’, as measured with pain scores and walking distance. These areas of bio energy intervention are still very controversial to the mainstream. Doubters call the positive impact of these interventions ‘placebo effect’ and attribute their benefits to the power of suggestion. I suggest back to them that ‘power’ is energy as it is utilized in healing. The body is a complicated design with the brain fully in charge! Pun intended.”
I’m not an expert in Reiki, but I believe weekly sessions are what they would recommend. I would ask for their expert opinion to see what they advise.
The doctors that your husband will see will most likely be most skilled in cancer treatment. My advice would be that which would only add to the benefits of their treatments.
Other considerations
1. I would recommend that he bathe himself in loving energies by focusing his mind on healthy thoughts. Loving energies are healing to the body.
2. Cancer thrives in acidic environments…If I were in his position I would eat a mostly alkaline diet consisting on mainly raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds. The following E Book maybe helpful if he decides to implement an alkaline diet : How To Be A Healthy Vegetarian
3. Light exercise such as Thai Chi, walking etc…Circulation is very important to bring nutrients into the cells and excrete the toxins.
4. Sauna therapy aids circulation and detoxification
5. A 10 minute daily dose of sunshine.
6. Limit exposure to all toxins in the air he breathes, the food he eats, and what he puts on his skin.
Here are a few Tips on Limiting Toxins:
- No Smoking and avoid areas that smoking is permitted
- Open windows to circulate the outdoor air with indoor air (indoor air pollution is generally greater than outdoor air pollution).
- Avoid pesticides in and around the home and work areas.
- Choose organic fruits and vegetables.
- Use only natural products on the skin. What we put on the skin such as lotions enters our blood stream and many beauty products contain harmful chemicals.
My Prayers are with your family,
Blissings!
Your Ally in Goodness,
