God, give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, courage to change the things that should be changed, and the wisdom to distinguish the one from the other.
Bless your people Lord
Bless your people O Lord for we have walked too long in this dark night of loneliness and pain. Those of us who wallow in affluence drown in loneliness and those of us who wallow in poverty drown in despair. The songs of old are no more sung and the genuine laughter of children are no more heard. Bless us O Lord with a divine restlessness for justice...burden us with the cries of all people, animals and all creation. Strengthen us with hope to keep on keeping on. Bless us with the wisdom of our forbearers, the courage of our saints, and the power of your spirit so we may rise from this negativity and celebrate anew the power of your creation. amen
