Finding your balance is an important part of a yoga practice as we all know, but it is beneficial for the body-mind connection as well. I have found that a way to help with proper balance is to use both sides of my body more equally. I asked the question, "Instead of being "right-handed", why can't I be "both-handed"?" So now when playing sports, cooking, brushing my teeth etc..., I use both hands. It was funny and awkward at first, like being a kid again and learning coordination skills, but it gets easier with practice. This skill also keeps one side of the body from being more developed than the other. Try it, it's fun!
