A new study by the non profit Environmental Working Group found a widely used herbicide in breakfast cereals and foods targeted for kids. 31 out of the 45 foods marketed to children contained higher levels than deemed safe by many scientists of glyphosate a chemical linked to cancer.
Quaker Old Fashioned Oats, Quaker Dinosaur Egg Instant Oats, Cheerios, Great Value Instant Oats, and Back to Nature Classic Granola all contained excessive amounts of the cancer causing herbicide.
Scott Faber of the Environmental Working Group said that they are very concerned that consumers are eating more glyphosate than they know.
