Play at the creek during the day and camp up on the hill in one of the pullout areas at night. Deer Pass Trailhead has overnight camping and 1 vaulted toilet at the top of the hill. The bottom of the hill hides a creek oasis area that does not permit overnight camping. Many who have stayed near the top are not aware of the treat at the bottom.
Note: The featured video for this listing was mostly from the creek at this camp spot, however, the waterfall and the cliff jump were a different location (Fossil Creek waterfall).
Take 89B East off of 89A between Cottonwood and Sedona.
Tips: The delicious creek is approximately 2 miles further down a dirt road. When you get to the bottom of the hill head to the right as the left will take you to Angel Valley Sedona which is a private retreat center. It’s advised to pull off one of the areas before the bottom of the hill as off road compatible vehicles are recommended at the lowest dirt roads.
