The most secluded sites include: * Clear Creek Trailhead Campground – This remote location offers no hookups but does provide an excellent opportunity for accessing wilderness areas away from other campers’ noise or light pollution; * Upper White Oak Creek Trailhead Campground – Located near four bodies of water including Bull Shoals Lake but miles away from crowds; * Little Missouri Trailhead Campground – This forest-service run campground offers primitive camping only so there are no conveniences like showers or electricity.

Come visit Ozark National Forest!

If you’re interested in visiting Ozark National Forest, there are many ways to do so. You can visit the website, which has a ton of information about all the natural resources and outdoor activities available on the forest. If you want to learn more about specific activities like camping or hiking, there’s also an interactive map that allows you to find trails based on difficulty level and length.

If you’d like to plan your trip ahead of time, I recommend checking out our campgrounds page where we list all of our public campgrounds and describe them in detail (for example: “This one is great for families with young children!”). Another good resource for planning trips is our offices page; here’s where we list office hours and address info so that people can contact us directly if they have any questions before heading out into the forest! If none of these options work for you then stop by our visitor center located along Highway 7 toward Mountain View Lake within view distance from Christmas Tree Point Trailhead.”

The following is a transcript and video for ” Six Easy Waterfall Hikes in One Day – Ozark National Forest”

What’s up everybody we’re back at the Ozark national forest it’s been a long time but it feels good. We are on the falling water road now we’re gonna check out some waterfalls the first waterfall on our list is right off the road falling waterfalls we’ll show you when we get there so I’ve been down this road a few times but this is the first time seeing this. They built a parking lot here right by the falling waterfalls getting some development down here in the Ozarks so when the weather’s warm this is a pretty popular swimming hole you’ll see why all right I’m up here up high on the other side now.

Angie’s taking some photos down low but we’ll try to get it from a different view. I should have brought a big towel to dry off it’s almost warm enough to jump in.

The next waterfall we’re going to be looking for is horsetail falls the waterfall guidebook says to park here at the bridge and look for a horse trail we think we found it by the way the guidebook we used to find these Arkansas waterfalls. It’ll improve your life if you live in the Ozarks so many adventures to be had from this book I’d highly recommend it do you recommend it Angie?

Yeah, I do she recommends it as well it’s perfect two out of two very reliable all right the book tells us to come to the first stream crossing right here it said there would be a little waterfall right there and now we leave the horse trail to go up there that’ll take us to Horsetail Falls first.

I’m going to check out the falling water creek here though looks beautiful time to go find that waterfall we’re going up we’re almost there though this is lower horsetail falls I’m gonna go up and uh check out upper Horsetail falls while Angie waits here come back and show you a little more of this in a second so Upper Horsetail falls all right I’m gonna head on back down now we’ve got a few more waterfalls to see this Waterfall Lower Horsetail falls is supposed to be a little more than 70 feet and then I think upper horsetail falls with just over 30 feet.

So many amazing waterfalls here in the Ozarks all right we are gonna try to quickly get back to the jeep so we’ll get on exploring some more waterfalls made it back to the road and the bridge.

I think Six Finger Falls and intersection falls is next on our list hey cutie you want to ride these next couple waterfalls are right off the road here again this first one which is right down here is Six Finger falls then we’re gonna go to Intersection falls so we’ll go back to Six Finger falls. There we’re gonna find Intersection Falls first.

Intersection falls right there so the sun is kind of killing the shot right now we might come back to this area later try to get a better one after it’s down the hill.

I’m going to talk to Angie about crossing the creek to go find fuzzy butt falls this water very cold bye I’ll be back.

Angie didn’t want to cross the creek so she’s waiting there at Six Finger falls I’m gonna head on and try to find fuzzy butt falls here.

I’ve been to this area a few times but I’ve never caught fuzzy butt falls so uh not gonna leave empty-handed this time.

I’m gonna grab that Fuzzy Butt so I got reading the guidebook and apparently you can just keep going on that horse trail that we walk down to get to Horsetail Falls and if we kept going there and crossed that creek.

I guess that would have taken us to Fuzzy butt falls as well I wasn’t aware of that until um we already left though well it says you’ll go inside a box canyon this kind of looks like it’ll be a box canyon I’ll try it out. Okay this is freaking cool all right Fuzzy Butt falls this is one of the prettier waterfalls in the area. I gotta say this canyon just it’s majestic that’s the right word.

Wow such a beautiful waterfall. I know a lot of people who come out and know this area really well say this is one of their favorites and I can see why the little box canyon there just makes a beautiful setting waterfall road.

Oh babe we brought our hang gliders for nothing. We’re heading to key falls now it says park on the side of the road here we’ll take this little Spur Trail up and I think it’s a half mile until we get to the waterfall. So this wasn’t the right way well we are back in route to Keefe falls.

I guess we’re gonna hike on the Ozark Highlands trail for just a little bit and then follow this creek up.

I don’t know how we miss this it’s pretty clear now that
we’re trying it for a second time but oh well we’ll make it well thankfully somebody put an x on this tree.

in case you didn’t know the waterfalls right there but I never found it without it so we got about a half mile to go before we get back to the road then we’re gonna head on home it was a beautiful day.

We had a lot of fun out here in Arkansas Ozark national forest.
