do you know that the world’s production of grains can feed the world one and half times over yet billions are going hungry? Worse is that more than half of the grains is not fed to humans but made into a meal for domestic animals. Animal feeds has become a big business so that these animals can then be butchered and eaten. This is a double whammy oppression. Of the 70 million tons of fish caught annually, poor countries consume only 14 million tons while 25 million tons are again made into a meal for domestic animals. Do you know that the money in the financial derivatives market is estimated at 480 trillion dollars or 12 times larger than the world economy. If there is so much money, why are people going hungry, jobless, indebted? Something must be really wrong somewhere. “We are standing knee-deep in water and we are dying of thirst.“
