Season 14 rewards players who stop treating every activity as a separate grind. Pandemonium Fragments, Superior Lair Keys, and a Fists of Fate drop can all fit into one farming plan, while spare D4 Gold keeps enchanting and gear repairs from slowing the session. The trick is choosing content that pays you twice instead of chasing one loot roll until your eyes glaze over.
The Fragment Route Starts in Helltides
Begin with Pandemonium Ruptures, especially Surging Ruptures inside Helltides. Complete them with Mastery when the extra effort doesn't wreck your clear speed, then look for a Colossal Rupture in the Fields of Desecration. Normal Ruptures still build seasonal reputation, but Colossal versions give you the most reliable path toward a summoned Realmwalker and its Deathtoll Chamber.
Don't close a Rupture the instant the objective appears. Killing nearby enemies and sealing Tears extends the activity, creating more chances for Glints of Hope, equipment, and seasonal materials. From what I've seen, the best route feels less like repeating one event and more like keeping a chain alive: Rupture, walker, chamber, key, then boss.
Run the Chain, Not Random Activities
Deathtoll Chambers are where this loop becomes practical. They supply Superior Lair Keys, and high Torment tiers now guarantee at least one key from the chamber. Pick the highest tier you can clear at a steady pace, not the tier that turns every elite pack into a five-minute DPS check. Fast movement and low downtime usually beat a flashy difficulty badge.
Use Helltides to find Surging and Colossal Ruptures.
Defeat every summoned walker before leaving the area.
Clear each Deathtoll Chamber while the route is active.
Save several Superior Lair Keys for a focused Corrupted Reaper session.
Claim repeatable Glints of Hope rewards as soon as they become available.
Where Fists of Fate Actually Fits
Fists of Fate is an all-class Unique in the broad Unique pool, so it isn't tied to one exclusive Lair Boss table. The Beast in the Ice can still drop the gloves, but farming it only for Fists of Fate makes sense when its other rewards also help your build. A different boss may be the better choice if its class-specific items fill a missing slot.
| Goal | Best Activity Focus | Why It Works |
|---|---|---|
| Pandemonium Fragments | Ruptures, chambers, Corrupted Reaper | Builds keys and gives direct fragment progress |
| Normal Fists of Fate | Lair Bosses with useful class rewards | Adds targeted loot to broad Unique rolls |
| Mythic gloves | Cube crafting with four fragments | Targets the glove slot, not one named item |
Mythic Crafting Needs a Reality Check
The Horadric Cube recipe accepts an eligible Unique with Item Power 850 or higher and four Pandemonium Fragments. The result is a random class-usable Mythic Unique for that equipment slot, so feeding normal Fists of Fate into the recipe does not guarantee Mythic Fists of Fate. Any eligible Unique gloves can serve as the base, which means you should keep a high-power spare rather than sacrifice the best gloves currently on your character.
That slot targeting is useful, but the glove pool still matters. Test your build with a normal Fists of Fate first, compare its effect against other Mythic options, and only then spend fragments. Crafted Mythic items also share a one-item equipment limit, while dropped or cached Mythics don't use that same allowance. At least in my experience, this restriction is easier to regret than a poor affix roll.
A Better Session Plan
Run Ruptures until you have a healthy key supply, clear Deathtoll Chambers in batches, and then defeat Corrupted Reaper several times without unnecessary travel. Collect the guaranteed repeatable reputation rewards during the same cycle. For gold expenses, save enchanting for items that already have the right build foundation; throwing currency at every mediocre drop can quietly drain the stash, even with cheap Diablo 4 Gold available as a budgeting reference.
The smart priority is simple: secure any usable Fists of Fate, build the fragment engine, then decide if the glove slot deserves Mythic crafting. Every poor boss roll should still leave you with keys, experience, reputation, materials, or another upgrade attempt. That is the difference between a productive Season 14 grind and an evening spent staring at empty loot piles.
