Question:

After receiving a personal trainer certification, what are the next steps to becoming a personal trainer? Do you apply at a gym or are trainers free agents? Please guide me. I'm going to do this!! Thanks

@admin God luck !!!! You will work your majic my friend and do just fine. You can either build a personal cliental or apply at gyms or spa"s . But if traveling is in your blood you can always do cruise ships. If its more of hobbie type thing they can always use your skills in the night classes. The local high school has an excercise class 2 nights a week. It helps people and you make extra . theres so much you can do it just depends on which way you want to go !!!

Congratulations my friend!

Ace and NSM are the premiere fitness certifications.

After getting certified the most important part is finding clients who wish to enlist your services. Most choose to work at a fitness facility while others will train people at their clients home/office locations. If you choose a gym route they may hire you...or charge you a training fee. Many clubs do not allow outside trainers. For those who choose to work at their clients homes (just like massage therapists) there maybe extra licenses fees needed depending on your state.

I also encourage you to take our complimentary wellness course and become certified as a wellness specialist:
