I wanted to do a quick live video talking about what you go through being a vegan. Not so much comments to me, but more of what I see from other vegans. I’m trying in general to post a lot of positive things. More happy videos, health benefits and how you can help the environment by eating a plant based diet.

As a vegan you go through a lot, hear a lot and see a lot and sometimes you get a bit distressed. The other day I posted a bit of a sad post. Lately I’ve added a lot of vegan friends which means that I see a lot more videos on my timeline and a lot of those videos are animals being tortured or videos from slaughterhouses. I have a lot of friends on Facebook that go out themselves to slaughterhouses or transportation trucks to see how the animals are and document it which I admire so much because I could never do it. The other day just by seeing videos from random people…not even being there in person…I had a really rough day and it brought me down a lot. It’s depressing to see what’s happening especially when you have already made the change and you are no longer contributing to this.
I just want to explain why people may find vegans to be a bit angry or sad…and they tell you that you are supposed to be a really nice person, but sometimes you can’t hold it in because you see a lot of torture and hear excuses that really aren’t valid. So this makes you angry that they really don’t want to make the change and keep making excuses. We all have to remember that we were all there ourselves. I’ve been vegan since April so I was making a lot of those silly excuses until someone helped me open my eyes. I think when we get to that place that we all step back and remember that we’ve all been there ourselves and remember that we can still make a change, Even though I am vegan I can help others change to a vegan diet as well and that way save even more animals. So it is frustrating to see that it keeps going on when you have already made the change, but you can actually help this stop even more. Just the other day at work I had colleagues talking about dairy alternatives. Many stopped consuming dairy and eating a lot less meat. There is a big change happening it is just happening slower than we would all like it to.

I want to encourage you all to keep positive and keep fighting because you are all doing a great job. I especially admire everyone who does activism and goes out to slaughterhouses and documents everything because I myself definitely know that I couldn’t do it.
