The Big Bay Boom is an annual 4th of July event like no other in San Diego, California. The bay in downtown San Diego showcases this spectacular event with fireworks launched from four different barges. We brought the Bliss Planet van with us for a magical adventure on Shelter Island. Many people were playing throughout the day in the water, beach and in the parking lot. Similar to a tailgate party, but with a beach and beautiful views.
The video was filmed on Shelter Island which is a great place to park your van early in the morning on the 4th to get a prime spot for viewing as in the video. Other great locations for viewing this amazing show are Coronado Ferry Landing, North Embarcadero, Marina District, Harbor Island, along with boating in the bay. We had no issues staying overnight right beside the bay after the fireworks show.
